Dalen Fredrickson

Director, Sacramento County Department of Child Support Services

Dalen Fredrickson is the Director for the Sacramento County Department of Child Support Services. He is fortunate to work with an outstanding team of child support professionals in Sacramento.

Before working for Sacramento County, Dalen was responsible for operations in a five-county region (Dallas area) in the Texas Child Support program. Before that, he worked as Special Assistant to the Deputy Director and he was the manager of the Texas Cold Case Unit, handling cases with large arrearage balances statewide. Before working in Texas, Dalen worked in child support in Utah. He has been a child support caseworker and performed most functions of the child support program. Altogether, he has more than 30 years of experience in child support services.

Dalen has an MBA from Brigham Young University. He also has a JD from Northwestern California University School of Law, and he is an attorney.

He is committed to ensuring the Sacramento Department of Child Support Services is a great place to work and he is an advocate for the child support program. He is passionate about providing excellent child support services for children and families.


Janelle Bright

Assistant Director, Sacramento County Department of Child Support Services


Janelle Bright is a dedicated public service professional with over 14 years of experience at Sacramento County Department of Child Support Services. She currently serves as one of the Assistant Directors, where she oversees enforcement, community engagement, marketing, grant initiatives, and program performance and analysis. Previously, Janelle held roles as Program Manager and Supervising Child Support Officer, driving improvements in operations and customer experience.
