Welcome to CalCSA Community! An easy-to-access space built exclusively for members to connect, collaborate, and stay engaged. You can network with peers, jump into the conversation, share your expertise, and make the most of this new tool designed to strengthen our member community. 

Key Features

GROUPS

Collaborative spaces organized by hot topics and opportunities Local Child Support Agencies have in common with each other. Anyone can join, at any time! 

A great way for members to keep up to date with the Community platform’s notifications without having to manually log in every day. A daily email is sent with new discussions taking place, recent activity, and upcoming CalCSA events.

Functioning as Index Labels, tags can be applied to global discussions, skills and interests in member profiles, or groups. Applying tags helps make information easily discoverable in the search bar.

A general space for statewide exchange of ideas, perspectives and information.

Opportunities for members to tag their special interests, skills experience, and education. Profiles can easily be set to “private” if members prefer.

 

Platform Navigation

Community’s navigation is meant to be simple and intuitive for users to maximize their experience.

Refer to the links below for detailed guidance on adjusting profiles, interacting in groups, and posting discussions.

Member Login

Logging in: Users can access Community from their InfoHub account, or by clicking on links from the daily digest email. 

*Notice*: Users will not be able to access Community or post discussions until they agree to the terms of service and Community guidelines. 

Groups

These spaces are designed for users to be able to access discussions and resources in an organized manner.

  • Discovering New Groups: All CalCSA Community Groups can be found by clicking “Groups” at the top of the screen. They can also be found by typing Tags and/or key words in the search bar on the top left of the screen. 
  • Joining a Group: Simply, a user should click on the Group’s icon to visit the designated Group page. Then, they click “Join [Group Name]” and voila they have officially joined. It’s that easy! 
  • Posting in a Group: Users have the option to post in a Group’s “Discussions” or “Feed” tab. Discussions are focused and topic oriented. Feed is designed for ongoing conversations or quick shout outs. Bonus! Members of a Group can upload files in the “Resources” tab to share with others. 
  • Finding a Group Users Are Already In: Users can find their groups in the left navigation pane of the screen. 

Left Side Navigation Pane

Quick Links that can be found on the left side of the screen.

  • Discussions (Global): The “Discussions” tab in the left navigation pane is not assigned to a specific Group. Instead, this is for general focused discussions or announcements that will be viewed by all of Community’s platform members. 
  • Social Feed (Global): The “Social Feed” tab in the left navigation pane is also not assigned to a specific Group. This is for casual shout outs and questions to Community’s platform members. 

Direct Messages, Notifications, and Profile

The icons for Direct Messages, Notifications, and a user’s profile can be found in the top right corner of the screen.

Direct Messages

Messages are organized based on whether they are unread or hidden. 

Notification

Notifications help users stay in the loop regarding their groups or posted discussions. 

Profile

Users can customize their profiles with a photo, bio, as well as tagged education, skills and interests! 

  • Profile Settings: Users can control their notification preferences, timezone, event reminder emails, privacy, messenger preferences, and camera & microphone settings.
